The preference for sustainability can also be seen on the shelves in supermarkets: sustainable packaging is snowballing. Half of the Dutch consumers pay attention to sustainability when purchasing products. In the food category, this awareness even tops 60%. Hence, JASA is expanding the options in this area. This time we highlight kiwis in a sustainable packaging suitable for recycling.
JASA packs kiwis with paper
Consumers today not only have a preference for less waste and sustainable packaging, but they are also increasingly willing to pay more if a product sits within a sustainable packaging. And which sustainable packaging is chosen? Paper packaging is one of the biggest packaging trends. JASA has been listening to this wish for some time; we even won an award for our paper Bag-2-Paper™. Our complete paper packaging solutions for apples are a great success too. And now, JASA is introducing the solution to pack kiwis without plastic as well! Utilizing the JASA Sleever, the kiwis are packed in a cardboard bowl with a cardboard sleeve around it. The sleeve is an excellent alternative for the foil trays and flow packing. The sleeves are made of 100% cardboard*, hence, in combination with the right bowls, a sleeve packaging is created that is 100% suitable for recycling.
