JASA Packaging Solutions is the market leader and product leader in the field of paper packaging. An entitlement that, in part, was earned due to the Bag-2-Paper™ paper packaging. This innovative packaging has already won awards before. After the NL Packaging Award 2019 and the WorldStar Packaging Award 2020, the proud JASA team has now virtually received the bronze WorldStar Sustainability Award 2020!
WorldStar Packaging Award 2020
Since 1970 the World Packaging Organization (WPO) awards companies worldwide. The organization, founded in 1968, aims to:
- Promote the development of packaging technology, science, access, and engineering;
- Contribute to the development of international trade;
- Promote education and training in packaging.
The organization is a global name in the packaging world. The WorldStar Competition is one of the most significant events of WPO. Hence, this third award won by the Bag-2-Paper™ is at least prestigious!
The award ceremony
Next to JASA, there are three winners of the Sustainability Award:
- Woolworths Bakery Plant Fibre Tray (Woolworths, Australia)
- Lewis Road 100% rPET Milk Bottle (Pact, New Zealand).
The award ceremony was to take place on May 8, during Interpack 2020, where the winners would receive the Special Awards. Covid-19 changed this planning, and the winners eventually received their awards in a unique way, during a memorable virtual ceremony.
The host of WPO's presentation called the Bag-2-Paper™ a revolution in the field of sustainable packaging. JASA's own Sandra also spoke extensively and took the opportunity to showcase the packaging and highlight the unique features of the Bag-2-Paper™.
People on both sides of the globe could attend as the ceremony took place twice and at different times. Yet another advantage: the virtual ceremony allowed not only the guests of the evening to be present, but all those who were interested! The JASA team, back home in Alkmaar, followed the ceremony on a big screen.
JASA is fully dedicated to sustainability; it makes us incredibly proud to have won the WorldStar Sustainability Award, a crowning achievement of our sustainable work!
De Bag-2-Paper™
It is not without reason our Bag-2-Paper™ has already won several awards. This innovative paper packaging abandoned the principle of film sealing; instead, a labeling technique is used.
