On a discovery trip at Bejo in Warmenhuizen. This is possible during the yearly Open Days of Bejo from tuesday the 27th of September untill saturyda the 1st of Oktober. This years theme is "Explore Bejo’s qualities’, customers and relations from all over the world can have a look at the qualities of Bejo in the field of improvement, sead preparation, research and so on. And off course this is the ultimate chance to actually see Bejo's vegetable crops and breeds, which are grown worldwide.
Diversified assortment and innovation
One of the destinations of our trip are the biological demonstration field. Bejo offers visitors a fresh look at lettuce when looking at the newest breeds. Visitors can see the diversified assortment of for instance tomatoes, peppers and gherkins in the crop tunnel. In the producttent you can find information about the new B-Mox seed enhancing formula – Bejo’s latest innovation in the field of seed enrichment. Representatives can give you all sorts of information about this. Off course you can also find Bejo’s wellknown harvests such as cabbage, carrots and onions on the Open Days field.
Breeds for the future
The Open Days are always in the spirit of inspiration and exchange of knowledge, not only for visitor but also for Bejo itself. Sales director Martin van der Voort motivates: “Changing wishes of growers, chainpartners and consumers are for Bejo an important inspiration to keep coming with new and better breeds. We hope that during the Open Days we can rely on your opinion and vision, so that we can keep these in mind for our improvement programms.”
New freshconcept
Make a stop in our main tent on the demofield during your trip, Bejo shows her latest innovative concepts here. Have a look at the latest concept of Bejo ‘Delicioni’: fresh onions attractively presented as a tuft of three pieces, very juicy and with a strong taste. Delicioni is an interesting development in the accepted assortment in the chain. During the cooking demonstration you can also taste tastefull recepies from a number of innovative concepts, such as ‘Coolwrap’ and the tastefull ‘Kohrispy’ from the kohlrabi harvest.
The seed route
Travel just like our vegetable seeds through the Seed Technological Laboratorium and the Seedpreparation and find our how quality controles are looking after Bejo's qualityseed. In the Research Center you can be present at presentations about Bejo’s developments in the field of research.
Demonstrations of mechanisation companies
Around the demonstration field you can find around 50 mechanisation companies, which are showing a large diversity of innovations in the field of growing, conservation, treatment and packaging of our harvests. The companies can give you all sorts of information about their products and services. Off course JASA will be attending too with their innovative packaging machines and specialist in weighing technics.
